Tai Chi is an expression of the unity of body and mind moving as a powerful single unit in a fluid manner through a set of prescribed movements.Participants will learn the basic principles and practice of Tai Chi. Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcomed.
This class will help you learn to connect the body, mind and energy flow as an integrated whole that is grounded in your being; Tai Chi's slow fluid movements build strength for better posture, balance, coordination and flexibility. The gentle approach of this health enhancing form of exercise supports calming of the mind by reducing stress and increasing your sense of well-being.
Kira will offer a supplemental afternoon session from 2:00-3:30pm for those morning class members who would like to deepen their understanding of the morning session.
About Kira Liu
Internationally trained in occidental and holistic medicine as RN, midwife, Tai Chi teacher (Yang style & Modified Sun style), mindfulness meditation teacher and therapeutic body/mind healer (massage therapy with Hakomi therapy), over a period of 30 years.
She has led and taught workshops, classes and retreats for groups from many different walks of life. Currently, she has a private practice in Healing, Health and Wholeness using integrated massage/energy therapies, Hakomi and mindfulness practice and ongoing mindfulness meditation/Tai Chi classes.
