SUMMARY:“Introduction to Bodhicharyavatara” with Ven Pema Longdrol
DESCRIPTION:Born in Bhutan, Pema Longdrol was ordained as a monk at the age of eleven and later studied at Dzongsar Institute, Bir, having received his Acharya degree in 2002, and Sarah college of higher Tibetan studies at Dharamshala for a year in 2003. In 2004, he was sent to Chokyi Gyatso Institute, Bhutan, to teach Buddhist philosophy to the monks of the institute by Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche and continues to teach there, currently as one of the senior teachers. Over the years, Pema Longdrol has taught in Deer Park Institute, Dzongsar Institute, Pune University, and internationally in Brazil, Israel and Indonesia. In additional capacity, Pema Longdrol is actively engaged with the local community, including college professors, students, homemakers, entrepreneurs, in Dewathang and Thimpu giving teachings on Buddhist philosophy and practices relevant to different audiences and needs.\n
