SUMMARY:Gurdjieff Sacred dances, a vehicle for embodying pure being with Tabasheer Zutshi (Registration Closed)
DESCRIPTION:An Aspiration\nThe body is a site for all that arises as occurrence, appearance, and experience. We explore the language of gesture and discover the relevance of ritual as a path of sacred remembering.\nThe movements allow an intimate communion with subtle sensations that lie beneath the gross temporal experiences of conduct, thought, and feeling. With gentle awareness and compassion, we move our bodies to receive the energy of attention that permits resting. This space of rest is alert, still, and imbued with tenderness. We read and discuss core teachings that lie in the Fourth Way Work as well as Buddhist texts that correspond and offer a comparative view. We share. We sit in silence. Underneath it all is a playful meeting of friends just as we meet ourselves, with acceptance, reverence, and affection. We experience the body as a symbol and an instrument of penetrating the sheaths of tightly held identities of selfhood, to ask the question – who am I, really\nLike the murmurations of starlings in the sky, the dancers manifest their own fruition.\nDaily schedule (to be confirmed)\n6.45am – 7am morning sitting\n9.30 am – 12pm – 1st session\n12 pm – 2 pm – lunch and rest\n2 pm – 4 pm – 2nd session\n4 pm – 4.30 pm – tea\n4.30 – 6.00 – 3rd session\n7.30 – Q&A, Screenings, reading, sharing\nProfile\nTabasheer encountered the work of G.I. Gurdjieff also known as ‘The Fourth Way’ in 2003 with (Late) Akash Dharmaraj who was a student of the Work in the lineage of J. B. Bennett, a direct student of Gurdjieff. She studied and imbibed the teachings over the next two decades with senior teachers of this tradition, integrating it with her explorations in yoga, and art practice. She began to facilitate groups and share the work, with the view firmly rooted in bridging the gap between our habitual experience of reality, and the profound sacredness of our true being. Her recent encounter with the Buddha Dharma has led to an expansion of her understanding, study and practice, bringing her past repertoire of work onto the Buddhist path. She now offers the work with the effort to integrate her Buddhist journey with the Gurdjieff work, particularly the core teachings where the lines between the two paths dissolve. Under the gaze and infinitely generous blessings of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, and other great teachers and Lamas from the Buddhist tradition, she aspires to share her work as an authentic creative expression of her path.\nFor registration, please fill out the Google form https://forms.gle/uRhKGHWCLxLB97Ws5 ( https://forms.gle/uRhKGHWCLxLB97Ws5 )\nPlease note- “attendance in all sessions is mandatory.”\nFor queries, registration & accommodation, please email: info@deerpark.in ( mailto:info@deerpark.in )\n \n
